WOMEN JOIN THE COMBAT ROLES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN INDIAN ARMY
With the Commissioning Board in respect of Short Service Commission (SSC-115 & SSC(W)-29) held at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai today, the women cadets of the Academy broke yet another glass ceiling, with five women cadets securing a commission in the Regiment of Artillery – an elite combat support arm and signific ant force multiplier of the mighty Indian Army.
