VELAMMAL’S GUKESH GETS WILD CARD FOR FIDE WORLD CUP 2021

Grandmaster D Gukesh, Std X, Velammal Vidyalaya, Mel Aynambakkam has received the FIDE President’s Wild card for the World Cup 2021 in Sochi, Russia scheduled to be held between 10th July, 2021 and 6th August, 2021.Gukesh, who would be the youngest participant in the tournament is excited to make his debut in the World Cup Chess -2021 which is over-the-board chess since the onset of Covid.
