VELAMMAL’S CHESS PRODIGY TRIUMPHS AT NATIONAL LEVEL
Grandmaster Gukesh D, Class 10 of Velammal Vidyalaya, Mel Aynambakkam triumphed winning the Silver with a cash award of Rs 5 lacs at the Senior National Chess Championship-2022 held in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh rece ntly.
Master Gukesh represented Tamilnadu at this national level event, wherein, he finished joint winner and had tiebreaks with a score of 8.5 out of 11 points ensnaring the Trophy.,The School Management congratulates the chess wizard on his remarkable achievement.
