VFTCB Launches Montco Wellness Initiative
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – To help visitors – specifically event planners and their guests – feel safe and comforta ble coming to Montgomery County, PA in a post-COVID world, the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) has launched the Montco Wellness for Events initiative. The program is an expansion of the organiza tion’s previously created Montco Wellness brand that highlights ways for people to unplug, relax, get back in touch with nature, focus on health and nutrition, and enjoy fitness and culture in the county.Montco Wellness for Events serves as an information portal to provide updates on well-being measures during the public health pandemic. Thoughtfully designed with group needs in mind, the goal of the program is to provide easily acces sible information to planners so they can make informed, confident decisions about hosting events in Mont gomery County.
The idea is for event planners to Make It Safe, and Make It Healthy, when they #MakeItMontco.
“Everyone’s safety, and health, is our number one priority,” said Lisa Karl, Vice President of Sales & Strategic Part nerships for the VFTCB. “We want to give people peace of mind, being that valuable go-to resource so people ha ve important tools and timely information, creative ways to stay active and keep their immune systems strong, and of course other things to do to improve their experience here. We want to help the once robust tourism and hospitality industry recover successfully, and bring that strong economic impact back to the region.”
Here’s some more information on the project, which includes newly designed web pages, logos, and other creative:
- Make It Safe –
- Provides links to current and real-time COVID-19 data
- Guidelines for events from the county, state, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
- Links to corporate brand, and independent property, safety and cleanliness standards for hotels, venues, and attractions, and other stats, and maps
- Registration information to sign-up for ReadyMontCo official alert notifications about emergencies, and severe weather, etc.
- Make It Healthy –
- Offers links to wellness-oriented activities, and dining options (health-driven, outdoor, etc.), to keep people feeling their best while visiting
- Bike Montco digital maps, and almost 100 miles of trails
- Outdoor and pet-friendly parks, and attractions
- 50 golf courses (300,000 yards of play)
- Spas, and places for yoga, and outdoor fitness
- Community give-back
- Offers links to wellness-oriented activities, and dining options (health-driven, outdoor, etc.), to keep people feeling their best while visiting
Event planners can also explore the VFTCB’s redesigned meetings site that’s now broken out by market seg m ent. Then, visitors can #MakeItMontco, and discover Valley Forge and Montgomery County’s rich history where there’s room to stay, and space to play, while safely social distancing – all just 18 miles from downtown Philade lphia.
