They are the most intellectually demanding of all the thriller sub-genres, and are therefore often aimed at olde at older, adult audiences often aging from 18 onwards But this is something different. Thuneri is family based thriller and the movie involves children’s The genre prompts us to consider the darkness in others and oursel ves. The Film A police officer( Nivin Kartik) is transferred to Thuneri Village and he leaves with his wife(Miyas ree) and kids Ash mi(Ashmita) and chutti (Nakul) .They stay in a house where the kids are not comfortable but being a small village they are forced to stay there till they can and a new house till they can and a new house.
The children befriend a local boy who is raised by the villagers and is very ,inspiring to the kids he explains how the villagers being terrorised by Karuppasamy ( John Vijay) ,and how the village is at his mercy. The kids try to and out the mysterious happings in the village and realise that they have become the target of the paranormal.In the meanwhile the police officer,is investigating the mysterious deaths taking place in the village and how Kar uppa samy is involved in these death’s ,oblivious to the fact that his wife and children are being hunted down by the paranormal forces. Does the family come out unscathed from the demonic onslaught , what is the reality behind the paranormal activities in the village forms the rest of the story

Thuneri, is a ghost movie with a difference. The film involves a group of children and proceeds in their view. Scary yet soft for it is for children. The film is written and directed by Sunil Dixon, who has worked as a graphic designer in several films. It is bankrolled and directed by Sunil Dickson. Navin Karthik, who was part of films like Sathuranga Vettai and Parijatham makes his debut as hero. He plays a honest and tough cop in the movie. Popular Malayalam actress Mia Sree plays the heroine. John Vijay dons the pivotal role of Karuppasamy in the movie. Man Nivin Karthik, a police officer, is being transferred to the village of Thuneri. Thus he stays with his family in a house in that village. Navin Karthik, a man of golden heart, is a honest police officer. He is posted to a village called Thuneri in Ooty.
He along with his wife Miaa Sree and two children go there only to experience eerie moments. Blame falls on Karrupasamy’s soul. An angry man hated by village, he died a few years ago. Then many strange things happen to him and his family. Many deaths follow. The villagers believe that Karuppasamy is the culprit and that he is very cruel. The onus is on Navin Karthik to set things right. Navin Karthik has done a decent job. He has action to do. He is a brainy and brawny cop. Miaa Sree does a good show. John Vijay in a different role tries to leave an expression. There is a danger of a police officer trying to figure this out. The story of the film is whether or not he escaped from it. This demon is frightening in some places but not frightening in many places.
This is a ghost story for kids. Since the director does not care much about it! Citti koṭumai atai cuṟṟi naṭakkum campavam eṉṟu tiraikkatai payaṇikkiṟatu. The screenplay travels that Siddi cruelty is the incident that happens around it. Since the director is an expert in graphics, he makes some scenes stunning. John Vijay plays the black man and captivates the mind Nivin Karthik, who plays a police officer, has acted impeccably. The child stars all performed well. The boy who played the son of Ann Vijay has acted better in it. The cinematography and background music lend a hand to the director. Though a template horror film and there are cliches, yet Thuneri is watchable. Plenty of CG works too finds a place. Well begun is half done is what Thuneri is all about.
