Thryve Digital Health LLP, is a Chennai-headquartered organization focused on delivering next-generation health care solutions that enable health plan partners to run their business effectively and efficiently. Through its “caring, loving, and giving” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Thryve Digital has been proactively supporting causes such as building rooms for patient treatment at the Mahesh memorial; sponsoring ventilator to pediatric cancer care; organizing blood donation camps; and aiding education support for economically vulnerable children by way of sponsoring laptops and study materials.
The COVID-19 pandemic challenged the healthcare infrastructure in our country. Chennai, the city that tops in medical care with reasonably good infrastructure was deeply impacted by the pandemic. The strain on the system led to challenges, and hospitals were striving hard to ramp up their infrastructure to meet the high demand for quality treatments. Thryve Digital being sensitive to healthcare related causes, noted that the many corporations were supporting causes like oxygen concentrators, bed supply, etc., but there was a gap in sponsors for the high-value ventilators that can be used on a variety of patients from neonatal to geriatric adults who needed immediate COVID-19 treatment.
In pursuit, Voluntary Health Services (VHS) Chennai, a trust based multispecialty hospital providing affordable health care to the community, was doing yeomen service during the pandemic, and were quickly ramping up beds in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) facilities with donations from well-wishers. VHS, in their ramp up found a need to fund the high-quality ventilators and thus Thryve Digital volunteered to procure 5 state-of-the-art MAQUET SERVO-air High Performance Ventilators valued at over INR 75 Lakhs. These can handle the most acute phases of respiratory distress, through recovery, and to the waning phases of the ventilation process.
“Our partnership with VHS to provide ventilators is part of the company’s endeavor to support our communities in these times of need.” said Padmanabhan Raman, President and CEO of Thryve Digital. These ventilators have been procured on fast-track basis and handed over by Padmanabhan Raman at a simple ceremony in Chennai and was received on behalf of VHS CEO, Dr. Suresh Seshadri, a renowned specialist in diagnostic Ultrasound and Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Suresh thanked Thryve Digital for their invaluable support and said,“the Facility at VHS today is proudly utilizing these 5 world-class ventilators, which makes expensive treatments highly affordable and economicalforeconomically vulnerablesections of our society.”
