Aadhaar Address Update: UIDAI accepts 44 types of valid documents to update addresses in the Aadhaar card. Out of this, the bank passbook is also one. However, some conditions of UIDAI have to be fulfilled for the bank passbook.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) provides a variety of facilities to Aadhaar users. UIDAI only allows any change, updation or correction on any basis. But, to update any information in Aadhaar, it is mandat ory to give valid documents to the users. UIDAI 44 also accepts other types of documents to change the address in Aadhaar. One of these 44 documents is a bank passbook. In such a situation, if you want to change the address in your Aadhaar, then your work will also be done with the Bank Passbook. This bank passbook should have your photo attached and the stamp of the signature of the bank officer along with the stamp.

UIDAI has informed Aadhar card holders about this in a tweet. UIDAI wrote in the tweet, ‘You also want to upd ate the address in Aadhaar with the help of bank passbook? If this is the case then first of all make sure that your photo in your bank passbook is stamped by the bank and it has signature on it. Without this, the bank passbook will not be considered a valid document. UIDAI updates address in Aadhaar through 44 other documents.

What other documents can change the address in the Aadhaar card?

With the help of passport, rent agreement, bank statement or passbook, driving license, telephone bill, electri city bill, water bill, voter ID card, you can also change the address in your Aadhar card. Information about all 44 documents has been given on UIDAI website.

How to update online address in Aadhaar

                      >> First go to UIDAI website https://uidai.gov.in/. Here you will find a tab with My Adhaar. In the                                             second tab of the dropdown, go to Udate Your Aadhaar and click on the third option Update your                                     address online in its dropdown.

                      >> Clicking on it will open a new page. When you go down here, click on Proceed to Update Address.                                  After this a new page will open.

                     >> On this page, first enter your Aadhaar number, captcha verification and click on Send OTP below.                                     Now an OTP will appear on your Aadhaar registered number.

                     >> Enter that OTP. After entering it, you have to click on Data Update Request. After that, after                                                clicking  on the address option, your address will be changed.
