The Stealer, Film directed by Jagadeesh kanna, Former Assistant director worked with Rajiv menon and Theatre artiste/writer/Director in Chennai theatre circle, He acted in tamil feature film Naalu Peruku Nalladhuna edhuv um thapila and Thira kadal and Jagadeesh has an educational firm under IIT Madras Incubation cell named Vaa yusatsra which teaches Aeronautics to students using Theatre arts and story telling methods.
From 2017 Jagadeesh trying for direction pitching stories to several production houses, Even he goes with fa miliar actors dates but somehow it nothing worked for about 3 years, After this Jagadeesh decided to produce
and direct a movie on his own, as a start he bought his own camera, lights etc. and he had support of Singer/Mu sician/Actor Bjorn surrao, Editor of Thupparivalan & Psycho Arun,
He hired a full time editor on monthly pay basis, since Jagadeesh Himself is a theatre director finding talented actors was not a problem. Camera by Min dScreen Alumini – 2016 batch gold medalist Siva to handle camera. With everyone’s support he was able to wr ap up the production well within in 10 lakh budget. 90% of movie happens in Vaayusastra’s office IIT Madras research park , research park supported him with exteriors as venue partner.
Jagadeesh made a story based on small incident happened in his own life, Once his laptop was stolen and during that time 8 of his friends where there, he reworked on this incident to a corporate set up, A roshomon type pers pective story telling film. After the production, he took the first copy again started to approach several producti ons, OTT platforms to release. Most of them didn’t gave a chance to show the film. Some of them liked the mo vie but denied mentio ning missing star cast. Finally Jagadeesh released the trailer on his own youtube channel. The trailer is receiving very good feedbacks.
