, Kerala goes to Saudi Arabia for survival. But there, he is made a slave to herd goats in the desert and suffers severe torture. Najeeb is tormented by the fact that he has left his native land and is lying dead somewhere, and tries to escape from there. But how can a weak person cross the vast desert? Did Najeeb escape or not? Adu Jeevitha is a true story. Malayalam writer Benyam’s novel Aadu Jeevidam is based on the story of Najeeb Mohammed, a victim of this incident. The novel has been translated into many languages including Tamil and has received many awards.
Director Plussi, who read the novel Aadu Jeevitham, has ventured into making this novel into a film and has been working on turning it into a film for the past 16 years. At the beginning of the film, Prithviraj, who looks like a monster, is ‘thick’ when he is trapped and decomposing in the desert due to weight loss.Anyone who doesn’t love cinema can’t even come close to this character. In the song ‘Omane..’ with Amala Paul, Prithviraj’s body language and eyes that know nothing but love speak on the screen.
As an actor, Prithiviraj has won. Mainly, in one scene, he moves his jaws and eats the piece of bread given to him like a goat.. From the moment he becomes the driver of the goats to the final scene, he has brought life to the character. A performance worthy of a National Award. Amala Paul, who plays the role of Sainu’s wife, also impresses.
Supporting characters including Hollywood actor Jimmy Lewis are perfect choices. AR Rahman and the film crew including cinematographer Sunil KS have worked hard to take the film Aadu Jeevidam to international standards. AR Rahman and Rasool Pookutty’s musical compositions are much talked about. A where there are no verses. R. Rahman’s aggression fills the screen. Aadu Jeevidam will also be a major film for Rahman. The VFX scenes are also quality.
Overall Aadu Jeevidam is a quality movie.
