Malpractices in Tamilnadu Uniformed Services Recruitment board(TNUSRB); More than 400 have passed by fra ud In 969 Police Sub-Inspector exam final list, more than 400 have passed by malpractices!
Chennai, April 28, 2021: Tamilnadu Uniformed Services Recruitment board(TNUSRB) released the notification for 969 Sub-Inspector of Police vacancies on March 2019. The selection consists of 3 stages Written Exam, Phy sical test and Interview. Almost a year later the written Exam was conducted on January 12,13 2020. Totally 1.34 lakhs candidates wrote the Exam and the written Exam results were declared on March 2020.
It was shocking to see that in Vellore, Chennai, Cuddalore, Villupram, Tirunelveli centers many of the candidates have passed the Exam in continouous register numbers. Especially in Vellore center 144 candidates have passed continously.
How Malpractices took place?
1) Candidates who applied in midnight hours got continuous roll numbers since roll number shuffling was not done by TNUSRB.
2) Duty chart in which the police Invigilator details are present with their contact numbers had been leaked in WhatsApp before the Exam.
We sent lots of complaints and petitions to TNUSRB and CM Cell. Since no action was taken, we filed cases in Ma durai bench and Madras High Court (W.P.Nos 7599,7854,9387/2020). Social Activist Dr. Traffic Ramaswamy also a filed a PIL(W.P.No 11188/2020). On 17-08-2020 Madurai High Court gave an order to TNUSRB to form an exp ert committee to enquire malpractices and submit the report within 3 months.
The expert committee was formed one month later by TNUSRB its elf under SP Mr.Thambidurai. The expert com mittee were asking leading questions and the video camera was switched on and off according to their needs. No ne of the fraud candidates including Devaraj Pandian, Group 2 officer and Divakar, VAO who helped fraud cand idates to pass in Vellore and Cuddalore were never called for enquiry. The expert committee came to a conclusi on that no malpractices had taken place and the report was not submitted to petioners.
Other mistakes done by TNUSRB
1) Many questions in Open and Department question paper were wrong.
2) Phyical Exam test was conducted on rainy days where the track was wet and muddy. Many deserving candidates lost their chance.
3) Persons studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) quota was not followed by TNUSRB. Some candidates filed case in Madurai high court W.P.No19112/2020. TNUSRB gave reservation only to the petitioners but not to others.
4) Madurai court gave an order in W.P.No 197/2021 that as per one man committee’s report TNUSRB should re-evaluate 3 questions and release the revised selection list within 8 weeks. Instead of obeying this order, TNU SR B declared the final selection list. In the Interview test few candidates were given 10/10 Marks and others we re given 4-7 Marks. No video camera coverage was done in interview. Many candidates feel that bribery has taken place in the Interview.
On 15 April 2021, the final results were declared. It was absolutely shocking to see that more than 400 candid ates have passed written the Exam by fraudulent means are in final list. The numbers would be even more if a strict CB-CID or CBI enquiry is conducted.
Two solid examples that fraud has happened
1) After written exam results, 144 candidates from Vellore center have passed in continouous register numbers. Even in the final selection list, candidates in Vellore are in continuous numbers.
2) Department candidates Emerson, Arputham, Alaguthandayuthapani, Raghuvan wrote the Exam in same exam hall with continuous Roll numbers in MGR university, Maduravoyil and got state ranks. Arputham and Alagut ha ndayuthapani have got state 1st and 2nd rank.Raghuvan got state 6th rank and Emersonvithalis has got state 9 th rank. How state toppers come from same Exam hall that too sitting next to next. How a person doing fraud in exams and giving bribery to get slect will honestly serve the people? At 21 years a fraud person joining as direct Sl would mostly likely to retire as SP at the end of his service period.
Our request is either Re-Exam should be conducted or all the fraud candidates be removed from the selection list.
