We are pleased to announce that the Vendhar Museum – Makers of the Modern World has been inaugurated at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST)

Kattankulathur. Spanning over 14,000 sq. ft., this museum is one of Asia’s most interactive and informative facilities. It features 30 zones, over 500 exhibits, 19 hyper-realistic sculptures, 50 mini sculptures, and a dedicated zone to the visionary Elon Musk. Additionally, the museum includes 19 AI mini-films and 6 AI history films, offering an insightful exploration of the past, present, and future.

The museum highlights the historical significance of world-renowned inventions andbreakthroughs, showcasing not only global achievements but also the innovations of the SRM Group. The event was inaugurated by the grandchildren of SRM Founder Chancellor Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar: Mr. Niranjan Sivakumar, Ms. Harini Ravi, Dr. Madhuri Sathyanarayanan, Mr. Balaji Sathyanarayanan, and Ms. Sai Varshini Ravi, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Paarivendhar himself. Vice Chancellor of SRMIST, Dr. C. Muthamizhchelvan, warmly welcomed the gathering.

A key feature of the museum, the Makers of the Modern World Zone, celebrates trailblazers like Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, and C. P. Ramanujam. This zone aims to inspire future generations through its collection of paintings, stories, hyper-realistic statues, and artifacts.

In his address, Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar shared, “Throughout my life, I have been profoundly impacted by role models who dared to dream and change the world for the better. The Makers of the Modern World zone is a tribute to these trailblazers. The aim is to fuel the ambition of students through the display of paintings, stories, hyper-realistic statues, and exceptional artifacts.”

The inauguration also saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including high commissioners, ambassadors, and diplomats from 15 countries. Their participation underscored the international significance of the museum.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. R. Arunachalam, Estate Officer – Directorate of Campus Administration.
