SRM Hospital celebrates Mother and Child Day

* Mothers-to-be entitled to better benefits under the TmT Valliammai Women and Child Welfare scheme

MCH&RC), Kattankulathur celebrated Mother and Child Day recently to celebr ate the success of the TmT Valliammai Women and Child Welfare scheme.

TmT Valliammai Women and Child Welfare Scheme was launched in 2014 to reduce maternal mortality rates and Infant mortality rates by promoting insti tutional delivery and to compen sate for the expenses rates and Infant mortality rates by promoting institutional deliver y and to compensate for the expense. 

During pregnancy. It was started initial ly with a monetary benefit of Rs.10,000 for all mothers who deliver at SRM MC H. The cash assistance has now been increased to Rs.20,000 effective from 1st May 2024.

Ms Manimangai Satyanarayanan, Mana ging Director, SRM Global Hospitals, addressed the gathering to  motivate the mothers to spread the benefits of the Valliammai scheme across the community. benefits of the Valliammai scheme across the community.

Around 200 mothers with newborn babies attended the function. Ms Mani mangai distributed the monetary benefit of Rs.20,000 each to all benefic iaries. This welfare measure is ongoing and is intended to support expe cting mothers through various stages.

At the launch ceremony, Ms. Manimang ai said, “Apart from this, at SRM MCH & RC mothers can also avail pre & postnat al care. Our Pediatrics service for child ren is also the best we offer.”
