SRM Chancellor honours 100+ sports achievers
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur conducted Achievers day-2022. The event was presided by Founder Chancellor of SRMIST Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar. About 105 awards for the SRMIST achie vers of the All India Inter University tournament, Khelo India and other tournaments. Each winner was present ed a cash prize of Rs.5,000.
Present on the occasion were SRMIST’s Vice Chancellor Dr. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Registrar Dr. S. Ponnusamy and Director (Sports) Dr. R. Mohana Krishnan.
Among those felicitated were SRMIST students Nethra Kumanan, who represented India in the recent Tokyo Olympics in Laser Ra dial event and Badminton player Malavika Bansod.
In this address, Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar motivated all the other stu dents to win more laurels. “Each time an SRMIS T student wins a game or match, I feel as I have made that achievement. I am happy that our students are making their institution proud.” He also added that there are even a lot more to achieve and urged student to work har der. He encouraged everyone to move forward with high hope, persistence, courage and confidence.
The Vice Chancellor and Registrar also gave motivational speeches to students.
