Retina Scan Camp organized by SafeGuard Family
Chennai, October 19th 2021: SafeGuard Family, a home healthcare company hosted a free retinal scan camp for citizens in Chennai. In line with World Sight Day (14th October), the company organized the free camp to help create awareness on early diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. Retinal Scans help in detecting eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy and other age related complications.
Speaking on the initiative Mr Dhigvijay, COO, Safeguard Family says, “Our brand’s core idea is prevention and early diagnosis. Being a home healthcare brand, we aim at providing healthcare service to people at the comfort of their homes, helping them avoid hospital visits. The pandemic has stopped individuals from getting their regular checkups done be it blood pressure, diabetes, vitals, etc. These factors can also affect the eyesight; hence we organized this camp which would help those who missed their routine eye check.”
The camp which was held at Jeeva Park, T Nagar benefitted nearly 100 people, especially adults above 40 years.
