POLLUTION RESPONSE SEMINAR CONDUCTED BY INDIAN COAST GUARD
Indian Coast Guard District Headquarters No.5 (North Tamil Nadu) today conducted Pollution Response Semin ar and Table Top Exercise by involving officials from State Govt, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Maritime B oard, Shipping Corporation of India, Greater Chennai Corporation, Chennai Port, Kamarajar Port, Adani Port Ka ttuppali, Oil Handling Agencies and all other stakeholders.
The aim of seminar was to review the preparedness le vel of stakeholders to face any incidence of Oil Spill at sea and associated shore line cleanup if the spill reach coa stal area. During Seminar all agencies shared their exper ti se in Pollution Response and exchanged ideas / opini o ns on enhancing preparadness level of state for facing oil / chemical pollution at sea.
