OPERATION UTSAV-2022 LAUNCHED BY INDIAN COAST GUARD FOR THE SAFE CONDUCT OF ‘ST ANTONY CHURCH ANNUAL FESTIVAL’ AT KATCHATIVU
Indian Coast Guard launched ‘Operation Utsav-2022’ in coordination with Coastal Security Group of Tamilnadu State to provide security to pilgrims and peaceful celebration of ‘St Antony Church Annual Festival’ at Katchat ivu island of Sri Lanka from 11-12 Mar 2022.
A total of 76 pilgrims in four fishing boats took passage from Ra meshwaram to Katchativu island. ICGS Ayush, ICGS C-432 and ICG Hovercraft were deployed for ensuring security and safe passage of pilgrims to and from Sri Lankan Island in coordination with the Sri Lankan Navy.
