Actress Seema Biswas, one of the finest artistes that Indian Cinema can boast of f, has been too choosy with her scripts.
Capturing the Pan-Indian audiences’ att ention with her promising performances in magnum opuses like Bandit Queen, K hamoshi and many more movies, she ste pped into Tamil industry through Iyarkai in 2003 followed by a convincing role in Thalaimagan in 2006. After a long hiatus us, she is making her presence in the Ta mil domain through the Hotstar Specials ‘Om Kaali Jai Kaali’, premiering on Jio H otstar on March 28, which features Vim mal in the lead role.
Sharing about her experience working i n this web series, actress Seema Biswas says, “The basic gist of the series itself w as so intriguing as it encapsulates mytho hology with ritualistic element. I play th e role of an informant for the main anta gonist, which will have both positive and negative layers. In fact, I found it interes ting, and instantly wanted to be a part o f the show. Director Ramu Chellappa is c ommitted, diligent, and fervent about hi s work. He traveled to Mumbai to share the story with me, using a translator. On set, I felt quite anxious about the langua ge barrier, but Ramu thoroughly support ed me throughout the filming.”
