OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY, CHENNAI COMMEMORATES 75 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE WITH YEAR-LONG CELEBRATIONS
To commemorate 75 years of Independence, year-long celebrations befitting the occasion have been planned by the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
The celebrations on 15 Aug 2021 were initiated by a ‘Cycle Rally’. It was aptly flagged off from ‘Temple of Remembrance’ at OTA, a citadel for the memory of our Braveheart. The cyclists rode through Chennai city spreading the spirit of sacrifice and selflessness in service to the Nation. A ‘Swadheenta Park’ was inaugurated inside the campus. 500 saplings were planted on the occasion by cadets and staff of OTA Chennai. All the events were presided over by Lt Gen MK Das, SM**, VSM, Commandant, OTA Chennai.
