OCF SCHOOL CHILDREN TAKE OUT HAR GHAR TIRANGA RALLY
To mark the 75 years of India’s Independence, Ordnance Clothing Factory, Avadi (A unit of Troop Comforts Limit ed), Chennai organized the Har Ghar Tiranga rally by school children of Ordnance Clothing Factory School and Ke ndriya Vidyalaya OCF Avadi on 12 Aug 2022 at 09.00 am. Har Ghar Tiranga is one among the various camp aigns launched by the Government under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The children were carrying Nat ional flags and chanting patriotic slogans which rekindled the sense of pride and love for the nation.
The rally was flagged off by the General Manager OCF Avadi MV Krishnamurty in the presence of all Officers, m embers of JCM and Works Committee, representatives of Unions and Associations, employees and their fam ilies. More than 1000 people participated in the rally with an aim to motivate public to hoist the National Flag in their homes and offices. The rally started from V K Krishna Menon Statue covering the residential area of Giri Nagar and Jau hari Nagar in the Factory Estate and back to Factory Main Gate. The idea behind the initiative wa s to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the children and for awareness building and buzz creation.
