NAVY DAY CELEBRATIONS AT PUDUCHERRY
As part of Navy Day Celebration 2021, a Naval Hoarding was jointly inaugurated at Puducherry Engineering College, Puducherry premises by Rear Admiral Puneet Chadha, VSM, the Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Naval Area and Shri Ashwani Kumar, Chief Secretary to Govt of Puducherry in the presence of Capt Rohit Sah, the Commanding Officer, INS Pallava and Miss Purva Garg, the District Collector of Puducherry.
The event was preceded by a 100 Km Cycling Expedition from INS Pallava to the War Memorial at Puducherry. On completion of the cycling expedition, the team carried out a Community Interaction Programme for the Fisherman community along with the coastal Marine Police Station at Marakkanam and Puducherry on 22 Nov 2021.
The inauguration ceremony culminated with an interactive session between personnel of the Indian Navy and students of Puducherry Engineering College. During the interaction, a motivational lecture along with a presentation was conducted elucidating the ways to join the Indian Navy and taking it up as a career.
