Master S.Akash ,class 9 student of Velammal Vidyalaya, Mogappair West
has received a cash award of Rs. 5 lakhs from the Government of Tamil Nadu for his exemplary performance in the events held by the School Games Federation of India in 2018-2019.
Akash had bagged the Silver medal in the 50 M and the 200 M backstroke categories. Each carrying an award of 1.5 lakhs each.
He also had clinched the Bronze medal in the 100 M backstroke and the 4*50 M Medley Relay with and award of 1 lakh each.
The extraordinary discipline in practice and a focused determination were the key factors for his winning traits .
The exuberant parents thanked the management for the training and support given by the school and the Physical Education Teachers.
