Story-;

An eight-year-old girl named Shannu (Deva Nandha) wishes to visit Sabarimala, as her favorite deity is Lord Ayy appa. This remains a long unfulfilled dream despite her asking her father relentlessly. All of a sudden, an unfor tu nate incident takes place, which disturbs Shannu’s family. Shannu, along with her brother Bujji (Sreepath), decide s to go to Sabarimala all by themselves. A child trafficker keeps trying to kidnap Shannu. Did the kids reach Sabar im ala safely? Did they get rid of the kidnapper? What is the role of Ayappan (Unni Mukundan) in this story? The film has the answers. ‘Malikappuram’, directed by debutant Vishnu Sasi Shankar, narrates the story of an eight-year-old girl Kalyani aka Kallu, a little girl from Panchalimedu village who is 8 years old, her strong desire to visit the Sabarimala Ayappan Temple.

By narrating the story of a ‘Malikappuram’ (all girls visiting Sabarimala for the first time are referred to as Malika ppuram), the movie deals with how faith takes root in young minds. It is creating such an impact that even kids w atching the movie was calling ‘Swamiye Sharanamayyappa’ loudly towards the end of the movie. In fact, for anyo ne who has been to Sabarimala before, it feels like visiting the temple again through the well-planned frames fro m Erumeli to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The first half of the movie is in a typical village setting with local myths and portrays a young girl’s ardent wish to go to Sabarimala. Due to tragic events, her trip gets delay ed and later she and her friend Piyush portrayed by Sreepath, who has done a commendable job, decide to visit Sabarimala themselves. The movie also emphasis the concept of ‘Tatvamasi’ where each individual can be seen as Brahman based on Hindu philosophy.

Movie Review-;

Eight-year-old girl Kalyani (Devananda) lives happily with her parents and grandmother in a small hill village in Kerala. Hearing the stories told by her grandmother about Swami Ayyappan, the girl grows eager for Kalyani to visit Sabarimala. Her father Ajayan agrees to take Kalyani to Sabarimala after she persuades her father to take her to Sabarimala. Kalyani’s father commits suicide due to debt while the girl is fasting by garlanding her. The gi rl’s devotion to Ayyappan is undiminished despite the fact that the family is in trouble. Fellow schoolmate Piyush and girl Kalyani leave for Sabarimala without knowing their home. Mai (Sambatram), who kidnaps girls on the wa y to a bus journey, keeps an eye on Kalyani and tries to kidnap her after knowing that she is coming alone.

In this situation, Unni Mukundan, who comes suddenly, saves Kalyani from the kidnapping gang and makes Ay yappan see her. Who is Unni Mukundan really? Why did he undertake this journey? God? human? Is Kalyani saf ely reunited with the family?Unni Mukundan plays a bodyguard opposite Ayyappan. Although at first Ayyappa devotee is shown to be the God of children in the form of Swami Ayyappa in Devananda’s mind with a beard and a sweet godly smile, in the end his breakthrough role is given well and realistically he impresses everyone. He ha s made a mark as a superhero for all age groups, not just children.

Devananda is the girl who is playing the title role in Malikapuram. As the girl Kalyani with her charming face wi th her smile and acting, her mature acting in all the scenes of this age-old film seems like a natural gift from God. She won many awards as the best child star.Master Sripath as Piyush is a realistic comedy, the little pillar that pr otects Kalyani and is perfect and natural throughout the film.Saiju Gurub makes eye contact with the typical fa ther character.Sampath Ram as the villain, though his dialogues are few, he earns everyone’s opposition with his villainous look.Ramesh Bisharadi, DG Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Albi Panchikaran and others are the other mainstays of the film and hold the film high.

Ranjin Raj’s music and the background score bring the divine thought of the film to life and the final scene when the girl steps on the eighteenth step makes Mei shiver. Vishnu Narayanan’s cinematography has worked hard in every visual angle of the film, giving a feast to the eyes without changing the smell of the soil, the scenes of Saba rimala, the journeys and the action scenes have been touched like a beautiful evening. Weldon.Editor-Shameer Mohammed, Lyrics-V.Prabhakar, Art-Suresh Kollam, Action-Stunt Silva have all contributed to the success of the film.Malikapuram is a Malayalam film that has been successfully released at the box office.

Malikapuram, written by Abhilash Pillai and directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar, is a beautiful story centered arou nd a child’s belief in God. Centering on the spiritual journey of two children who are going alone, Vishnu Sasi Sh ankar has made a unique mark by giving a color that everyone will enjoy and thrill by moving the story from the children’s point of view and giving a different plot.All in all a spiritual journey where a young man safely guides a young man to fulfill his divine faith in Malikapuram produced by Priya Venu and Neeta Pinto and released in Ta mil by Trident Arts.A must watch movie for all with family.
