Loyola College, Chennai Launches a Premium Course: Diploma in Filmmaking (AI) France In Its Centenary Year 2024-2025

The Department of Visual Communication & BMM at Loyola College, Chennai, proudly announced the launch of a Premium Course: “Diploma in Filmmaking (AI) France” on today, the 12th of August 2024, from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Viscom Preview Theatre.

This unique course is curated by Color Carpenter, led by two notable Loyola Viscom alumni, Ms. Madhavi Elangovan and Mr. John Vijay Jebaraj, who are innovative education curators. With over 20 years of experience in the creative industry, they have formulated this well-crafted course for the prestigious Viscom Department in the centenary year of Loyola College, in collaboration with Don Bosco International Media Academy, Paris, France.

The forward-thinking Viscom Department offers this course as an eight-month intensive training program in Chennai, culminating in a final project in Paris. Students will gain hands-on experience in filmmaking, learning about Al applications in pre-production, scripting, and post-production. This course aims to equip aspiring filmmakers with essential skills and seamlessly integrate Al technologies into various filmmaking processes. It will educate students about Indian and International filmmaking and provide an understanding of the Cannes Film Festival and international fund management. Those pursuing this course have ample opportunities to pursue further studies at Don Bosco International Media Academy, France.

The esteemed Chief Guests for the event were Rev. Dr J. Antony Robinson S.J., the esteemed Rector of Loyola Institutions, and Mr. Nassar, a renowned film actor and President of Nadigar Sangam (SIAA). The distinguished Guest of Honour will be Rev. Fr John Paul Swaminathan, SDB, the esteemed CEO of Don Bosco International Media Academy, France. The event was made more special by the presence of Mr. PC Sreeram (Cinematographer), Mr. Lenin (Film Editor) and Mr. Trotsky Marudu (Contemporary Artist).

The event was also attended by the esteemed officials of Loyola College Rev. Dr B. Jeyaraj SJ, Secretary and Correspondent, Rev. Dr A. Louis Arockiaraj SJ, Principal, Dr J. A. Charles, Deputy Principal and Dr. M Gautaman, Vice Principal (Administration), Shift-I.

The Jesuits, associates of the Viscom Department past and present, academic administrators of the college, academicians from other institutions, professors, students, alumni and well-wishers attended this event.
