Story-:
Arvind (Vidharth) who is Assistant Commissioner of Police in Coimbatore is a very honest officer. One night in Coimbatore, a psycho man wearing a black raincoat is using a weapon to kill everyone in sight. Some police officers also get injured while trying to catch him. A suspect is chased away by the police. During the chase, the man is hit by a police vehicle and dies. But it turns out that he is not a murderer. A lead is found for the murderer in Battukottai. The police department is making a trip with this lead. The rest of the story is whether the police department is able to catch the killer. In

Movie Review -:
Once the film starts, it moves very fast. The screenplay moves fast from one place to another. The anticipation of what will happen next occurs while watching the film. Wait, wait… don’t imagine too much. All the things I said are up to the break. After buying the popcorn and watching it after the break, the film goes in the range of what we thought was very wrong. As soon as the second half starts, the film becomes less interesting as the killer is revealed. Well, that’s okay, at least if there’s a twist after this, it’s not too big either. Flashback scenes are reminiscent of things seen in many films.Vidharth has done a great job as a police officer.
Shweta as his wife is also doing her job. The director has given the film in a different thriller style. But did he succeed in that? It is doubtful. The reason is that there have been many films in the same style in Tamil cinema. It would have been better if the film had been given a bit of contrast and edginess.
Also, even the serious scenes in the film are laughable. The technical and editing work is nothing short of spectacular. First half was ok. The second half is very, very close. The flashback scenes are not all good. The director may have paid a lot of attention to the selection of actors. On the whole, Laandhar is a very modest film .Vidharth acting is ok, The background m usic is good ,The director has tried to give the story in thriller style,Otherwise there is nothing much to say about the film ,A lot more attention could have been paid to casting More focus on technical work More focus on technical work ,The secon d half was not so good,Climax scenes are not well done ,Lots of logic flaws, all in all Laandhar – a failure.
Gnanasaundhar’s cinematography and Praveen’s music are the reasons to enjoy the film to some extent. Both are excellent. Vidharth has done a good job as a police officer and a loving husband. Although there are two heroines in the film, Sahana and Shweta, it is Sahana who plays Manju who has given the best performance. He has given many emotions like love, stress and anger very well.
`Laandhar’ has deceived the people who came to see the film with the idea that Vidharth film will have a different story and the film will be very good. The film lacks the detail and treatment required for a thriller. If the screenplay was correct, this ‘laandhar would have given light.
