JAYASEELAN ASSUMED CHARGE AS CONTROLLER OF DEFENCE ACCOUNTS (CDA) CHENNAI
T. Jayaseelan, Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) Officer of 2003 batch has assumed charge as Controller of Defence Accounts (CDA), Chennai on 25/5/2022 from Smt. Maulishree Pande. Jayaseelan has previously ser ved as Director in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India. The officer brings vast experience of having earlier served in Defence Accounts Department for Army, Navy, Air Force and DRDO. Jaya seelan was the Nodal Officer for Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in Vellore district and for Jal Shakti Abhiyan in Coimb at ore district of Tamil Nadu during his previous tenure at the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. Hailing from Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, the Officer has the reputation of serving for the United Nations Peacek eeping Force in Congo.
CDA Chennai provides financial advice, auditing, accounting and payment coverage to various Defence Organis ations in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. It is also responsible for payment of pension to more than 1 lakh defence veterans.
