IRO ‘UNITY RUN’ TOWARDS CELEBRATION OF ‘AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV’

As part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ Celebrations, Air Force Station AVADI conducted a ‘Unity Run’ of 8.5 Kms for Men and 6.5 Kms for Women and children on 31 Oct 21. The said run was part of PAN Indian Air Force initiative, wherein similar event were conducted across all units of IAF on the same date. A total of approxi ma te ly 300 Air warriors/NC(E)s/DSC/Civilians including the family members/ dependents participated in the ‘Unity Run’.
All COVID protocols were adhered to and the contingent was fla gged off at 0545h by Air Commodore S Siv akumar, Air Officer Co mmanding, Air Force Station AVADI. The enthusiastic partic ipatio n of Air Force fraternity aimed at uniting and uplifting the im age of the IAF while paying rich tribute to our real national heroes. Winners of the ‘Unity Run’ were felicitated by Air Com mo dore S Sivakumar, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station AV ADI and Mrs Sheeba Sivakumar, President , AFWWA (L) Air Force Station AVADI.
