2.5 CR WORTH TENDU LEAVES CAUGHT BY INDIAN COAST GUARD IN GULF OF MANNAR
Indian Coast Guard Ship “Vajra” while patrolling in Gulf of Mannar on 14 December, apprehended an Indian Fish ing Boat near IMBL with Tendu leaves, purportedly smuggling across the border. 108 bags of Tendu leaves (app rox 3.5 tons) worth approximately Rs. 2.5/- Crore recovered from the Boat. Boat has been brought to Tuticorin harbour and handed over to local authorities for legal action.
