Global healthcare software major Italy-based Dedalus has inaugurated its expanded R & D facility in Chennai on Tuesday.
Speaking with the media, Andrea Fiumicelli, Group Chief Executive Officer said that the company plans to scale up its investment in Human Resource by 15% by the end of 2023 in Chennai and Noida. At present, the total em ployee strength in both the facilities is around 900 and it would be scaled up to 1,000, he added.

The Dedalus is also plans to increase its domestic customer base in India. When asked about its market share, Andrea Fiumicelli said Dedalus is No. 1 in Europe and stands third in US.
Andrea Fiumicellii said, “We are determined to continue to innovate in the healthcare ecosystem, developing n ew solutions able to improve the daily life of patients and professionals. The investment in our Indian Develop ment Hub is strong and it will continue. From September ’21 we increased by 22% our highly skilled Tech team and we are planning to grow by 20% again in 2023.”
He further said that the frontiers of the innovation in healthcare are today focused around the new usability p aradigm, the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, the engagement of patients, with the clear aim to improve the q uality of care and the access to care in an equalitarian, ethical and environmentally sustainable way, supporting healthcare professionals and patients in their daily activities.
He said Dedalus expands its India presence to boost the transformation of the Digital Healthcare Ecosystem Globally and to boost its software development for the global digital transformation in healthcare.
