Express Avenue’s Pongal Festival cheers up shoppers
Chennai, 10 January 2021: Express Avenue Mall, Chennai’s award winning fashion and entertainment mall, delighted its patrons for the harvest holiday with ‘Express Pongal Festival’- An event filled with music, fun acti vities, and an endless shopping spree. It is a three-day fest from 8 January to 10 January 2021. An exhibit of stalls was set-up where patrons could buy handmade products from small artisans and support them. The pro ducts by artisans include Clay Products, Brass Handicrafts, Tanjore Art, Handmade Decor, Mats, Daris, Snacks and Chutneys.
As the year’s first big cultural event, the entertainment quotient was 100%. The Pongal musical delight included Carnatic Conversation Performances by Pramodh Raghavan – Lead Guitarist, Mottamaadi Music & Baanupriya Gopalakrishnan, Carnatic Singer.
There was a Parrot card reader and Kai Joisam stall. The fest also had a live pottery making session, which rec eived great response. Customers enthusiastically participated in the Rangoli making competition and Pot de coration competition. Prizes were given to the best Rangolis and decorated pots.
