Aishwarya Rajesh’s father, a call taxi driver, is murdered. After her father’s death, Aishwarya Rajesh becomes a c ab driver. Aishwarya Rajesh gets caught between mercenaries who set out to kill a political leader. Did Aish wa r ya Rajesh escape from them ? Did the mercenaries kill the political leader ? ‘Driver Jamuna’ is the directorial debut of Vattikuchi’s Kincil after 9 years. Vattikuchi also had the story of an auto driver as the centerpiece of the film. Now, director Kinslin has talked about succession politics in the film ‘Driver Jamuna’, focusing on a female foot taxi driver.There is no dearth of fight scenes in the film. The first half was a bit slow and the second half was a bit brisk. Aishwarya Rajesh is one of the heroines who choose to act in women-centric stories. As the eldest daughter of a middle-class family who has lost her father, Aishwarya Raj esh fits the role perfectly.
Aishwarya Rajesh fights the villains while driving the car as three-fourth of the scenes of the film are taken in a Caltaxi. Aishwarya Rajesh has proved that she is the heroine of the story in the fast driving scenes.Although the first half raises the question of where is the thriller in the film, the director has untied the knots of the film in the second half. The film is not thrilling enough to sit on the edge of the seat. Gibran’s music complements the film. The short runtime of the film is a smart decision. Gokul Binay has handled the entire story that revolves around the highway and the car journey.Aadukalam Naren is amazing in his performance as a cunning political leader.
He set the record straight as a mercenary assassin.Standup comedian Abhishek Kumar’s performance is exquisi te. Sri Ranjani as the ailing mother and Pandyan as the righteous father have done justice to their characters des pite being in a few scenes.The film also talks about the intricacies of politics like the dominance of succession po litics and the tactics of politicians. This movie has talked about integrating many things like feminism, political in trigue, family affection and karma.Driver Jamuna posted the comment “Life is not about money, position, fam e…love is everything”.
So all in all, Driver Jamuna is a plot by a daughter to take revenge on those who killed her father.Aishwarya Raje sh’s father is hacked to death by mysterious persons. His mother is sick at home. This leaves Aishwarya Rajesh wi th the responsibility of supporting the family alone. Aishwarya Rajesh is going to work as an Ola driver. A merce nary team of three goes to kill a famous politician. The vehicle crashes on the way. Due to this, the three decide to go in an Ola vehicle. It is Aishwarya Rajesh’s vehicle. The three mercenaries get into Aishwarya Rajesh’s vehi cle. The three stay in Aishwarya Rajesh’s vehicle as the police search for the mercenary…
The rest of the story of the film is what happened in the end.. Aishwarya Rajesh carries the entire film on her sho ulders as a single person. As most of the scenes of the film take place only inside the car, he keeps his eyes movin g and enjoying the entire film. All the three actors who played the role of mercenaries have given amazing perfor mances. Director Kingsley has clearly left his mark both in terms of different story and screenplay movement. A s the first half ends in a snap, the interest in the story diminishes a bit.
Many logic holes peek through in the second half as well. However, the director has won the audience by brin ging both the thrilling scenes and the anticipation of what will happen. Moreover, the twist scenes in the climax scene are something that no one expected. Gokul’s cinematography is also a major strength of the film. The car overturning scene has been taken very threateningly. Gokul has given each and every scene of the car awe-ins piring. Gibran’s background music lends itself enormously to the story. A few peeks at the logic holes though Driver Jamuna – Brave winner…
