DIRECTOR GENERAL INDIAN COAST GUARD CALLED ON HON’BLE GOVERNOR OF TAMIL NADU

DIRECTOR GENERAL INDIAN COAST GUARD CALLED ON HON’BLE GOVERNOR OF TAMIL NADU 

            DG K Natarajan, PVSM, PTM, TM Director General Indian Coast Guard paid a courtesy call to the Hon’ble Governor of Tamilnadu Shri Banwarilal Purohit on 25 Aug 21 at Raj Bhavan.

Various operational facets and recent string of achievements by Indian Coast Guard especially in Tamil Nadu we re briefed to the Hon’ble Governor. With the ever increasing challenges of mariti me security and safety at sea, discussions were focused on stren gthening the maritime safety aspects including safety of fishermen at sea in the state of Tamil Nadu. Hon’ble Governor was also brief ed on the progress made by the Coast Guard towards developme nts of its operational infrastructure and strengthening of coastal security.

During the interaction, the Hon’ble Governor was assured that Indian Coast Guard would continue to be an en abler for maritime trade that fuels economy of the state as also providing rescue to the fishermen whenever the y are in distress at sea. The Director General acknowledged the efforts of the state administration in stre ngt hening Coastal Security mechanism and conveyed gratitude to Hon’ble Governor for the strong support.
