Debashish Banerjee assumes charge as General Manager
Engine Factory, Avadi
Debashish Banerjee, IOFS, has assumed charge as General Manager of Engine Factory Avadi, Ministry of Defence, Chennai on 15th September, 2020. Shyamsunder R, IOFS who served as previous General Manger has superannuated from the service. 
Banerjee belongs to the 1988 batch of Indian Ordnance Factories Service. In his distinguished career span ning more than three decades, he has held key positions in various Ordnance Factories, in Ammunition & Explo sives and Weapon, Vehicles & Equipment Divisions of Ordnance Factory Board, Kolkata. He possesses vast exp erience and technical acumen in Engineering, Production Planning, Quality Control, Maintenance and execution of Projects.
He is a Mechanical Engineer from Regional Engineering College, Calicut and did his M. Tech. in Maintenance Engineering and Management from IIT, Kharagpur. He has also completed Management Course for Techno logi sts from IIM, Bengaluru and M. Phil. in Public Administration from Punjab University.
