CREDAI Chennai Joins Hands with The Extra Mile Foundation for 1st Editon of Premiethon 2023: The Hope Run in Chennai for the Health of Newborn Children

Chennai, 19th November 2023 : CREDAI, Chennai in association with the Extra Mile Foundation is proud to have organized the much-awaited first edition of Premiethon 2023: The Hope Run today in Chennai. The Marathon w as flagged off by Thiru CV Ganesan, Minister of Labour Welfare, Population, Employment and Training, Census, Urban and Rural Employment.
Around 1000 participants including children above 5 years of age ran for different race categories, of 10 KM, 5 KM & 3 KM run commenced from Olcott Memorial Higher Secondary School, Besan t Nagar, and it passed through Besant Nagar Beach and ended at Olcott Memorial School.
The event promised to be bigger and better than ever before, attracting children’s participants from all walks of life to come together to save premature and sick newborns. Regardless of fitness level or experience, there was a suitable distance for everyone to join in the excitement.
Commenting on the event, Mr. Sivagurunathan, President, CREDAI Chennai said, “We are excited to be associated with The Extra Mile Foundation for this event. CREDAI Chennai believes in making a difference in society, and this com mitment is deeply embedded in every aspect of our work. The determination and selflessness of these young marathon runners as they go the extra mile to make a difference in the lives of babies is simply inspiring.
We are grateful to witness that marathons like these, will not only benefit society but will also encourage fitness at an early age. We will support m ore of such endeavors in the future, paving the way for a healthy and vibrant young India.”

Participants had registered by contributing an amount for the charitable cause of providing the best of medical amenities to premature and sick newborns. By combining a passion for running with philanthropy, participants can make a positive impact on the community while pursuing their fitness goals.
