COMMANDER, COAST GUARD REGION (EAST) VISITS PUDUCHERRY AND KARAIKAL
Inspector General Anand Prakash Badola, TM, Commander Coast Guard Region (East) visited Coast Guard District Headquarters at Puducherry and Indian Coast Guard Station at Karaikal on 08 Jul 2021 to review opera tional preparedness and infrastructure development. This is his maiden visit to Puducherry and Karaikal on ass uming charge as Commander, Coast Guard Region (East) on 11 June 2021.
During his maiden visit, the District Commander, Puducherry briefed the Regional Commander regarding the prevailing Coastal Security Scenario along the coast of Puducherry and Karaikal.
The Regional Commander also reviewed the Coast Guard infrastructure projects in Puducherry and Kar aikal which are essential for enhanced operational capability of Coast Guard at Puducherry and Karaikal. Fur t her, the Regional Commander complimented the Coast Guard personnel, who man the strategically important stations, for maintaining high alertness and giving quick response for Search and Rescue capability in the Area of Responsibility, enhancing coastal security and assisting the fishermen in distress.
