CIFI Inaugurates Three Days Annual Footwear Fair – The 7th Edition of India International Footwear Fair 2023

New Delhi, 27th July, 2023: The Confederation of Indian Footwear Industries (CIFI) today kickstarted its annual footwear fair – the 7th Edition of India International Footwear Fair (IIFF) 2023. Hon’ble Union Minister for Mini stry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Mr. Narayan Rane inaugurated the three-day festival in the presenc e of industry leaders and other dignitaries. The footwear fair, starting today, will include various product showc ases, knowledge sharing sessions, seminars for industry and a specially curated fashion show over the course of the three days.
IIFF 2023 is an annual fair that aims to celebrate India’s rich footwear heritage and its growing presence on the i nternational stage. With a diverse range of exhibitors, distinguished speakers, and fashion enthusiasts coming t ogether, the fair is set to be an exceptional platform forging new business connections and exploring the latest t rends in the footwear sector.
The inauguration witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries from the footwe ar industry like Action Foo tw ear, Relaxo Footwear, Walkaroo International, Welcome Footwear, VKC Footwear, Asian Footwear, Reliance Fo otwear, Paragon and others.
The standout brands from India who represent the alli ed sector like KLJ Polymers, Versatile Textiles, Mayur La minated, Alter Soles, Swastik Polymers, Klassik Vinyl, R ymbal PU, Huntsman, Pidilite, Henkal and others, and p rominent personalities who have played a pivotal role in shaping the Indian footwear landscape are also present at the IIFF 2023 B2B exhibition.

The three days of innovation, creativity, and networking in the global footwear industry will end with a grand valedictory function set to take place on 29th July 2023 in the presence of Chief Guest and Hon’ble Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minis ter of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India.
About CIFI – During the last few years, India witnessed robust developments in the Footwear Industry. Due to re cent technological advancements, footwear production increased on a large scale. This situation demands a nati onal-level institution for the development of the footwear sector. The Confederation of Indian Footwear Industr ies is proposed to be the axis and pivot institution for the unity and development of players in the footwear indu stry. The promoters of the Confederation of Indian Footwear Industries include the leading footwear manufactu rers, dealers, and suppliers of raw materials in India.
At present there is no national level institution to co-ordina te the footwear manufacturers and dealers. The pro moters of the Confederation of Indian Footwear Industries a re confident about serving the purpose by incorpo rating a Section 25 Company in the name and style aforesaid. To fulfil the objectives of the proposed Confede ra tion of Indian Footwear Industries, the promoters believe that the same should be incorporated as a Section 25 Company under the Companies Act, 1956. The Confederation o f Indian Footwear Industries is supposed to ind uce the future development of the footwear industry in India and in fact the development of the economy.
The proposed activities of the Company include the conduct of conven tions, training programs, workshops, and seminars across the country, which will certainly result in positive chan ges in the economy. The presence of the Confederation of Indian Footwear Industries will certainly increase the competence of the members to manufa cture and market superior quality footwear across the globe. Having con ceived the idea of incorporating the Co nfederation of Indian Footwear Industries and understanding the benef its of Section 25 Company, the promote rs wish to incorporate Confederation of Indian Footwear Industries as a Section 25 Company to serve the noble cause.
