Canon India’s ‘Cinema Excellence Suite’ drives into Chennai as its next destination

Chennai, 14th November 2022:Canon India, today, embarked on the next leg of the Cinema Excellence Suite in Chennai in association with SICA (Southern India Cinematographers Association).The unique experiential jour ney is set to leave a mark on cinematographers, DOPs, filmmakers and production houses in Tamil film industry. This versatile activation is an industry-first initiative that showcases Canon’s extensive range of cinema imaging technology right from its EOS R System Mirrorless cameras to its Cinema EOS camera’s entire production and post-production workflow experience directly to the cinematographers, DOPs, filmmakers, and production ho uses over a period of 2 weeks , covering locations like Prasad Labs, Sun TV &Tharamani (MGL Film City)
After traveling through Mumbai & Pune for a period of three months and in Hyderabad for thirty days, Cinema Excellence Suite is all set to make a grand entry in Chennai. The Tamil film industry has been at the forefront of innovation and change owing to its versatility and assortment of genres. To accelerate the efforts and potential of the Tamil film fraternity to revolutionize Indian Cinema, Canon aims to be a befitting companion with its prow ess in cinema imaging technology.

Continuing its journey that began in April this year from Film City Mumbai, the Cinema Excellence Suite will tra vel from point to point on a prefixed schedule in Chennai, with stops including famous production houses and fil m studios such as Prasad Labs, Sun TV &Tharamani (MGL Film City). The Suite will be equipped with the latest E OS R System Mirrorless cameras – EOS R3, EOS R5, EOS R6along with advanced RF lenses and EOS Cinema Ca meras EOS C500 Mark II, EOS C300 Mark III, EOS C70, and the latest EOS R5C – the company’s first camera to provide internal 8K 60P Cinema RAW Light recording. DOPs can also experience the legendary Canon Sumire Prime & EF Cine lenses.
