BYD India Appoints Sanjay Gopalakrishnan as Senior Vice President for its Electric Passenger Vehicle Business
Chennai, India – BYD India, a subsidiary of the Warren Buffett-backed world’s leading new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer BYD appoints Mr. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, as Senior Vice President, BYD India Private Limited for its electric passenger vehicle business in India. Mr. Sanjay will be spearheading the Sales, Marketing, and After-sales divisions.
Mr. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan will be responsible for enhancing BYD India’s position in the electric passenger vehicle segment. Mr. Sanjay comes with an overall experience of 25 years in the auto industry. In his earlier stints, Mr. Sanjay was associated with brands such as Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) to name a few. In his previous assignment, Mr. Sanjay was the Country expert for Changan Automobiles, which was planning to enter the Indian Market.

As a strategic and marketing expert with experience in Planning, Brand Management, Product, Media analytics, PR & Digital marketing, Mr. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan holds a Master Degree in Science and is an Alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad. He was also a marketing & business consultant to Automotive Retail groups and startup companies.
