Audiences will leave the theaters with laughter and complete satisfaction after watching ‘Romeo” Director Vinayak Vaithianathan*
Director Vinayak Vaithianathan is ready to embark on his directorial journey with the film ‘Romeo’, a delightful romantic comedy featuring Vijay Antony and Mrinalini Ravi in the lead roles. Scheduled to release worldwide on April 11, 2024, director Vinayak shares his experience of collaborating with Vijay Antony and the entire team.
According to him, “Every filmmaker dreams of working with Vijay Antony sir because he possesses a captivating charm that appeals to audiences of all age groups. Whenever someone wants to explore unique genres and storylines, he becomes the top choice. However, when I finished writing the script for ‘Romeo’, I was eager to have Vijay Antony sir play the lead role, but I had doubts whether he would accept a romantic comedy since it wasn’t a genre he had explored before. To my surprise, he thoroughly enjoyed the narration and immediately agreed to produce and act in the film. Working with seasoned actors was indeed a great challenge. As a newcomer, I was a little apprehensive about whether senior actors like Thalaivasal Vijay sir, Yogi Babu sir, VTV Ganesh sir, and others would accept my suggestions. However, they were supportive on set. They truly enhanced the scenes with their inputs and performances. Mrinalini Ravi has given her best for this role. ‘Romeo’ is a lively comedy entertainer that combines humor, romance, entertainment, and emotions. Audiences will leave the theaters with laughter and complete satisfaction after watching ‘Romeo’.”
‘Romeo’ is written and directed by Vinayak Vaithianathan and produced by Meera Vijay Antony of Vijay Antony Film Corporation. Alongside Vijay Antony and Mrinalini Ravi in the lead roles, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Ilavarasu, Thalaivasal Vijay, Sudha, and Sreeja Ravi in important roles. Barath Dhanasekar is composing the music, and Farook J Basha is handling the cinematography for this film.
