ARMOURED VEHICLES NIGAM LIMITED (AVNL) A NEW DEFENCE COMPANY HAVING HEADQUARTERS AT AVADI DEDICATED TO NATION
Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) or called otherwise as AVANI is formally dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today at New Delhi. The Hon’ble Raksha Mantri presided over the function. C onsequent to the decision of the Government of India, the Ordnance Factory Board has been converted into se ven (7) Defence Companies. Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) with its headquarters at Avadi, Che nnai is one of the seven defence companies.
All the 5 units and the Corporate Office joined in the central programme digitally. Sri Sanjeev Kishore, Chairman & Managing Director/AVNL & Smt Neeraj Saxena, Sri Sanjay Dwivedi, Director/Operations & Smt. Rashmi Dwivedi, Sri C Ramachandran, Director/Finance and Smt. Ramachandran, Sri B Pattanaik, Director/HR, CGM of SBI Chennai, Director/CVRDE, GM/BEL Chennai, other officers from AVNL Corporate Office and other invited guests attended the function at AVNL Corporate Office. The employees of AVNL Corporate Office and their families also participated in the programme.
Website and Logo of AVNL (www.avnl.co.in) was also launched on the occasion by CMD. He also unveiled a Plaque, dedicating the AVNL (AVANI) to the Nation by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Mrs Saxena, Mrs Dwivedi and Mrs Ramachandran, the CMD and other dignitaries planted trees on the occasion. AVNL, headquartered in Che nnai, Tamil Nadu is fully committed towards business excellence and employees’ welfare.
Ordnance Clothing Factory (OCF), Avadi under Troop Comforts Limited (TCL) virtually also joined the ceremony. General Manager Surjit Das and senior officers were present.
