Aryan impresses with his confide nt screen presence, compelling acting a nd willingness to embrace unconvention al storylines. For a newcomer, he carries the complex story of the film with poise, indicating great potential for his future in cinema.
The story explores the unsettling theme of human sacrifice orchestrated by a sha dowy cult masquerading as a family led by a patriarch and his three adopted son ns. Aryan Shyam portrays a filmmaker w ho, along with his creative team, retreat s to a secluded farmhouse on the outskir ts of Chennai for a brainstorming sessio n. Movie Review-:
Film director Nayagan Aryan Sham goes to Panchami Bungalow on East Beach R oad with a team including two women t o work on his new film. Everyone tries t o leave the place in fear of some myster ious incident happening at night. But th ey are unable to leave the place and are chased away by a masked man with a br utal weapon. who is he What is the back ground of the mysteries in that behavio r? Aryan Sham trapped in that house an d those who went with him escaped? Is n’t that?
The hero Aryan Sham, who has handled the powerful role of portraying two char acters in one character, has grabbed att ention in the very first film without any faltering. At six feet tall, with a calm fac ce, he is suitable for romantic stories on one hand, but on the other hand, he is a mazing as an action hero with an angry face. If he chooses good stories, he will surely occupy a prominent place in Tami l cinema.
Adhya Prasad who plays the heroine, Li ma Babu who plays Aryan Sham’s assist tants, Kishore Rajkumar, Rajkumar and Iman Annachi have been used appropria tely for the flow of the screenplay.
Music composer NS Robert Sarkunam’s background score has gone along with t he film.
Cinematographer Satish Kadirvel, who has shown the horror scenes in such a w ay that the audience gets scared, has sh ot the night scenes exquisitely.
Film editor J.S.Castro is a bit confused in making the audience understand what t he director is trying to convey, but event ually he gets the job done.
While the story and screenplay written by hero Aryan Sham and director Vivee Kathiresan centered around human sacr ifice is interesting, director Vivee Kathir esan could have paid more attention to the visuals and storytelling.
Director Vivee Kathiresan, who has told what he wanted to say elegantly withou t dragging the film to a pulp by imposing unnecessary things, takes him into the s tory at the very beginning of the film, an d what will happen next? With anticipat ion, he leaves the audience in awe.
Despite some mistakes and glitches, wh o is the hero Aryan Sham? The unexpect ed cted twist, the backdrop of human sa crifice etc. gives a complete horror expe rience. All in all, let’s see ‘That Day’.
