AMARAN TAMIL MOVIE REVIEW
PLOT
Mukund Varadarajan (Sivakarthikeyan) dreams of joining the Indian Army since his childhood. Mukund meets Hindu Rebecca Varghese (Sai Pallavi) in college and falls in love.
Although love is on one side, he is fully engaged in military training with the aim of joining the army. Their girlfriend has got the green signal at Mukund’s house.
Indu’s father did not approve of their romance as Mukund was a soldier. Somehow, after many struggles, Mukund-Hindu’s marriage takes place with the consent of both the families.
Mukund is the first to join the army, then to take up the post of captain and then as major.
Major Mukund Varadarajan encounters a terrorist named Altaf Baba in the border region of Kashmir. What happened after this incident is the rest of the story of the film.
Director Rajkumar Periyaswamy has not only shown Amaran as a military film, but has beautifully designed the screenplay based on the love between Mukund and Indu.
While Mukund is struggling in the battlefield, the way Hindu’s plight is shown at home is very emotional. The love between the two starting from college till Mukund’s death, and the way it showed how much Hindu still loves Mukund even after his death, was wonderful.
The screenplay has a few weak points but none of them seem like huge minuses. Kudos to director Rajkumar Periyasamy for making the film realistic without doing anything for commercial purposes in the film which is based on true incidents.
It must be said that as much as the interlude scene was mass, the climax scene left everyone reeling. After his death, Hindu’s reaction was very emotional, keeping in mind Mukund’s words that his wife should not shed tears in front of anyone.
Protagonist Sivakarthikeyan thrilled us all by playing the role of Mukund Varadarajan. On the one hand, Sai Pallavi, who played the role of Indu, is holding a place in everyone’s mind to the extent that Siva’s acting is beating the bar, on the other hand. It must be said that both of them lived that character.
Similarly, Vikram Singh’s character is excellent as he always supports Mukund Varadarajan. Kudos to Bhuvan Arora who played the role.
Surely Amaran will be the best submission for Mukund Varadarajan. There is no doubt about it. Like Mukund Varadarajan who laid down his life for the Indian Army, many more have sacrificed their lives. If people get to know their story through pictures, it will be an honor to them.
The next hero of the film is GV Prakash Kumar. The songs are good and the background music is good. Another level.
Action scenes are well designed by Anbarivu Masters and Stefan Richter. Cinematography is the biggest strength of the film. Also the editing is superb.
Overall, Amaran is a painful love story of a soldier. A must watch movie for everyone..
