Alpha Arts and Science College celebrated their 22nd Graduation ceremony in conjunction with its 25th anniv ersary Silver Jubilee Celebration.
23rd March, 2022, Chennai: Alpha Arts and Science College, Porur, run by the Alpha Educational Society, celebra ted their 25th anniversary Silver Jubilee Celebration along with 22nd Graduation Day celebration on 23rd March 2022 at The Music Academy.
The evening was made extra special with the presence of Thiru. Vikram Kapur, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Govt. of Tamil Nadu who delivered the keynote and gave away the cit ations to the young graduates. During the ceremony 718 students of the 22nd batch of students were graduated, and prizes were distributed to the Winners of the prestigious Awards for Best Outgoing students.
The graduation day ceremony was also attended by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Ismail, Member, State Planning Commis sion, Tamil Nadu, Dr. K. Saleem Ali, IPS (Rtd.) Former Member of National Disaster Management Authority, DGP of Tripura & Special Director of CBI, Dr. (Mrs.) Grace George, Chairperson, Alpha Group of Institutions and Mrs. Suja George, Vice Chairperson, Alpha Group of Institutions.
While addressing the students, Thiru. Vikram Kapur, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning & Development Department, Govt. of Tamil Nadu, said, “Life is full of uncertainty, and we have to live with it. We need to realise that we cannot change events but can change the way we face them. Everything is evolving and changing rapidly, and we need to adapt to the changes to survive. For that we have to be aware of the things happening around us and have to learn continuously. So, the most important lesson for you all is to never be content with your achieve ments. At the same time never compete with others. Strive to become a better version of you. Whatever you do in life, take pride in it. Gradually strive to achieve excellence. Today happens to be the martyrdom day of Shahee d Bhagat Singh, who is the finest youth that India has ever produced. Take inspiration from all our freedom fight ers, who inspired the nation to nurture the people around them.”

It was a momentous day, marking a major milestone in the lives of aspiring students.

Mrs. Suja George, Vice Chairperson, Alpha Group of Institutions, said, ”The 22nd Graduation day of Alpha Arts and Science College is a significant milestone as the College is celebrating the Silver Jubilee this year marking two decades of yeomen service. The College aims at providing holistic value-based education with a focus to equip students with knowledge and skills for gainful employment. To achieve this, the institution provides enr iched curriculum and value-added programmes to bridge industry academia gaps. Alpha has entered into stra tegic industry partnerships for industry relevant training to enhance employability skills and achieve high quality placements with top notch companies.

Dr. A. Sivasankar, Principal, Alpha Group of Institutions said, “An ambience that fosters learning and ensures overall development of the budding citizens of the country is of paramount importance. On the occasion, Dr. Benita Merlin, delivered the vote of thanks and urged the graduates to make a difference in the society with their hard work and determination for the welfare on the county and the community that they serve.
The students were celebrated for emerging as winners after the pandemic, unravelling the true meaning of Alpha.
