Adamas University rated as one of the best private Universities in Eastern India, organized a virtual International Students Conference
ADAMAS UNIVERSITY ORGANIZED INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ CONFERENCE 2020
India, Dec, 2020: Adamas University rated as one of the best private Universities in Eastern India, organized a virtual International Students Conference ISC- Adamas, 2020 on the topic Education: Creating Future Today. Going beyond the pandemic. The conference brought together a total of 132 speakers, who participated from across the globe. The theme of the conference was appreciated both by the academia and students community globally.
Adamas University, always working towards an innovative learning process, tried to establish a futuristic educational paradigm through this conference, highlighting how education ahead can be responsive to the needs and aspirations of the students. Adamas University prioritized the key player of the education system; the students, and provided them this knowledge and feedback sharing platform. Around 140 students-speakers were selected among more than 200 students and scholars, who submitted their abstracts from 26 universities in 15 countries, namely India, Bangladesh, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, Morocco, Italy, France, Netherlands, Latvia, UK, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Ukraine to share their thoughts and ideas during inaugural and four parallel sessions during this conference.
The inaugural Session beagn with the speech of Prof. Dr. Deependra Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor of Adamas University, India. Dr. Jha’s speech was followed by 8 students from Far Eastern University (Philippines), Omsk State Agrarian University (Russia), Petra Christian University (Indonesia), Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, University of State Fiscal Services of Ukraine, Mohammed V University (Morocco), Vitus Bering Kamchatka State University (Russia) and Adamas University (India).
The inaugural session was followed by Education session, Business and Management session, Social Science session and Science and Engineering session. The education session had 57 speakers from 10 universities, namely Adamas University (India), Kamchatka State University (Russia), University of Genoa (Italy), Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Kharkiv National Aeros pace University (Ukraine), Far Easter University (Philippines), Eastern Samer State University (Philippines), Petra Christian University (Indonesia), Novgorod State University (Russia) and Omsk State Agrarian University (Russia). The Session was honoured by the speech of Prof. Dr. Diana Spulber, Professor of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia & University of Genoa (Italy) and also by Dr. Rhodora Mendoza, Professor of Eastern Samar State University (Philippines).
The Business and Management Session had 33 speakers from 8 countries, namely Daffodil International University (Bangladesh), Far Eastern University (Philippines), University of State Fiscal Services of Ukraine, Kyiv National economic University (Ukraine), Transport and Telecommunication Institute (Latvia), Rzeszów University of Technology (Poland), Széchenyi István University ( Hungary), and CNAM, International Institute of Management (France). The Session was honoured by the speech of Dr. Sarah Grant, Associate Director and Head of Operations for Imperial College Business Schools’ world-leading Edtech Lab, UK.
The Social Science Session had 22 speakers from 7 countries, namely Adamas University (India), University of State Fiscal Services of Ukraine, Kharkiv National aerospace University (Ukraine), University of Debrecen (Hungary), University of Pécs (Hungary), Mohammad V University (Morocco) and Bath Spa University (UK). The Session was honoured by the speech of Prof. Dr. Yamina Elkirat El Allame, Vice Dean for Research and cooperation, Mohammad V University (Morocco).
The Science and Engineering Session had 20 speakers from 7 countries, namely Daffodil International University (Bangladesh), Muroran Institute of Technology (Japan), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine), University of State Fiscal services of Ukraine, Radboud University (Netherlands), University of Bologna (Italy), Rzeszów University of Technology (Poland).
The conference focused on the future of higher education and the changes brought about by the commencement of the global pandemic. The speakers discussed various aspects of higher education and the breaking down of physical boundaries, giving rise to the necessity of inter cultural knowledge exchange. The participants also exchanged ideas about the positive aspects of Covid-19 on education, blended learning as an inevitable tool of knowledge gathering and the digital divide of population towards using technology. They further spoke on broader perspectives of teacher education, digitalization of education, English language learning strategies, and new vistas of teaching strategies. The sessions and interactions with the students were extremely enriching and highly significant during these changing times. The fact, which reiterated the most, was that education is changing from the conventional way to more modernized and technically driven way. The pandemic has further accelerated the adaptation process. As future educators, the students need to upskill themselves to the evolving technologies and schooling of education.
