The First Look of the ‘GEVI’ Movie is out now!!!
Mr. Gautham chokkalingam of Adyag Productions is producing a new film titled ‘GEVI’, directed by Tamizh Dhay alan. Mandela & Pettaikaali fame Sheela Rajkumar and Vijay TV fame Jacqueline are playing the female lead rol es in this movie. Debut actor Aadhavan is playing the content-driven protagonist in this movie. ‘Madras’ fame vill ain actor Charles Vinoth, Dharmadurai fame Jeeva, Umar farook, Vivek Mohan acted in malayalam movie ‘nam ed way farer’. they are doing a prominent role in this movie Gevi. And many more prominent actors are a part of this star cast.
Rasi Thangadurai, who shot to fame for his versatile dialogues in the movies like Merku Thodarchi Malai and Tha en is penning dialogues for this movie. Balasubramanian, who has been a part of AR Rahman and Anirudh’s orch estra, is composing the music, and Jag an Jayasurya is handling the cinematography for this movie. Ashwath Nar ayanan is taking care of editing.In the 800-yr history of Tamil Nadu, no matter how many political changes have taken place, there is one particu lar place, which remains unaffected or influenced by them. This film’s story is based on real-life incidents that ha ppened in that place.
Sharing about the film, director Tamizh Dhayalan says, “GEVI means foothill or ditch. Although mountains and hills are acclaimed for their beauty, not many know about their darker side. Tamil history has witnessed changes in political regimes across the years. However, some things remain unchanged in the mountainous regions. This film, centering on this, will address an important social issue.
When we have a close glance at the life of a common man, we can see how many political changes are taking pla ce. I have personally experienced their pain and pathos. We have created this film with a belief that a change mi ght happen in their lives when their issues are displayed to the public glare. Sheela Rajkumar plays the role of a villager from the hill region, and Jacqueline also plays the major role. The fil m is about the challenges and odds faced by them, and how they tackle them has been presented with a grip ping narration.
The film was shot in and around the exotic locales of Kodaikanal. We faced a lot of adverse climatic conditions lik e heavy rainfall, and extreme cold and completed our schedule amidst such challenges. In particular, actress She ela Rajakumar suffered a lot due to the extremely cold conditions during the night time as her hands and feet got frozen. We had to carry her and walk for more than One Kilometre to give her treatment and revived her health condition. Without taking any rest, she immediately bounced back and started shooting her portions with comp lete cooperation.
Significantly, the film’s protagonist, actor Aadhavan worked hard with complete dedication for two years, witho ut committing himself to any other project. He would reach the locations before the shooting schedule, adapt th e mannerisms and lifestyle routine of the people in that region, and reflect them on his character.”
