Actor Ashwin Kumar’s Enna Solla Pogirai
Having garnered incredible fame through the reality TV show ‘Cooku with Comali’, Ashwin is all set to amuse the universal crowds with his debut movie in the lead role, which is titled ‘Enna Solla Pogirai’, produced by Trident Ar ts R Ravindran. The film is directed by Hariharan A, who has carved a niche as an ad filmmaker (for prominent br ands like olx, flipkart, Apollo hospitals, Sony music etc) and director of the famous web series Ctrl Alt Del.
Shedding lights on the film, director Hariharan A says, “The movie is set against the urban backdrops and will be completely shot in Chennai starting from July 19, 2021. We were supposed to start the shoot earlier, but unfort unately had to postpone due to the second wave pandemic issues.”
Getting on with the inception of this project, Hariharan says, “As soon as I comp leted the script works, I appro ached Trident Arts Ravindran sir to narrate it. He was happy with my narration and suggested that Ashwin wo uld suit perfectly for this role. His judgment was so sound as I felt the same. Ashwin is an actor wi th a charming charisma and a great performer, who can emote with ease and I am excited to work with him.” Speaking about the title, which is picked from AR Rahman’s evergreen Chartbuster number ‘Enna Solla Pogirai’ from Kandukond ein Kandukondein, he smilingly adds, “The title has a lot of significance with the script. Besides, it’s my all-time fa vourite song. The film will be on the lines of beautiful Rom-Coms like Minsara Kanavu and Unnale Unnale.” Havin g said this, we are propelled to know if it’s a triangular love story. Ask him, and he affirms, “Yes, it’s a triangular lo ve story, and I cannot reveal more than this for now. Vijay TV fame Pugazh will be seen in a role that is more than a comedian. His character has a good substantiality. We are finalizing the heroines for the film and will be maki ng an announcement soon on this.”
