Actor Arya’s jaw-dropping 120-ft height and 20-ft underwater action sequence in Captain
Actor Arya’s scrutinizing efforts in nurturing his onscreen characters have earned him great acclaim. The visual promos of his forthcoming release ‘Captain’ have revealed that he has yet again greased his elbows to amuse us with his powerful performance. While everyone is in awe of the final shot from the trailer, where he faces a mam moth alien creature, actor Arya shares his experience of shooting this challenging action sequence.
Actor Arya said, “There is a particular action sequence staged between my character and a 120-ft alien creature. I never expected that it is going to be such an excruciating challenge. When Shakti informed me that he has decid ed to shoot the climax in Munnar, I was a little doubtful if I would be able to process it since it was December, wh en the winter is at its peak. What turned out to be more challenging was to shoot the action sequence under the rain effect. I was lifted to a height of 20ft through the crane, and for the next 3 days, it was a terrible task to acc omplish.
When I thought everything was over, Shakti again informed me that the continuity sequence had to be filmed underwater at 20ft depth in Mumbai during the first week of January, when the city was drenched in high win ter. So, the whole process was completely tough. And now, we are happy to see that our hard work has paid off well with the top-notch final output. I am sure audiences will have a great theatrical experience watching those sequences.”
Scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on September 8, 2022, Captain is written and directed by Shakti So undar Rajan and is produced by Think Studios in association with actor Arya’s The Show People. Apart from Ary a, the others in the star cast include Simran, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Harish Uthaman, Kavya Shetty, Gokul Anand, S uresh Menon, Bharath Raj, Ambuli Gokul, and a few more prominent actors.
