Several states have requested to extend the period of free ration under the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana. We are considering their request only after which this decision can be taken forward in the cabinet.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Anna Yojana (PMGAY), the go vernment is distributing 5 kg of food grains and 1 kg of pulses per person per person for free during April-June, and providing equal quantity of free grains and pu lses to 8 crore migrants. . This be nefit is also being given to those who do not have ration card of either central or state for June-July.
According to Paswan, under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyana Anna Yojana, about 20 million beneficiary famil ies of NFSA have been allotted 5.87 lakh tonnes of pulses for free delivery of 1 kg of pulses / family / month for 3 months. By June 19, the cooperative agency NAFED has sent 5.69 lakh tonnes of pulses to the states, of which 5.44 lakh tonnes of pulses have been lifted by all states.

Food and logistics department of every state has a portal through which after downloading the application form, you will fill the information asked in it and attach documents like ad d ress proof, photos etc. Keep in mind that a ration card will be made in the name of the head of the family.
