Story-;
Vellimalai is a beautiful hill village. All the residents of that town turn to the Subramani family, who have been pr acticing natural remedies for generations, when it comes to illness. Once Subramani’s brother gave the wrong m edicine and the people of the village became enraged and stopped seeking medicine from Subramani’s family. At some point all the townspeople suffer from scabies. Subramani cures one of them and earns people’s trust. Whe n the villagers keep coming to Subramani for treatment, he takes some people there saying that he does not hav e the medicine for the treatment and it is at the top of the hill. During the journey he shocks me by saying that he doesn’t know what is the medicine for itching. People are dying in droves in the town. The rest of the story is wh ether Subramani was able to find the herb and save the people from being sacrificed.

Subramani becomes the hero of the story. He plays the role of a doctor and garners attention. In the scene where he cries and laments that he could not save the people, he is moved. Veerasubash in the main role and heroine A nju Krishna are the two people who have acted as people. Heroine Anju Krishna’s realistic performance makes u s say that beauty and color are secondary to the chosen actress. Girija, Vijayakumar, Charles, Pandian, Kaviraj an d many other characters are completed. Songs composed by Raghunandan are ecstatic. Cinematographer Manip erumal takes the audience to the story without magic. There may be some scenes for comedy as well.
Director Om Vijay captures the attention by powerfully displaying the superiority of natural remedies and the gl ory of spirituality without any commercial elements. The people of Vellimalai, a mountain village, refuse to see S ubramani, a country doctor in the village, and insult him by teasing his medicine. Enduring it all, Subramani cont inues to practice medicine in the town hoping that one day people will understand the value of his medicine. Me anwhile the villagers are suffering from a strange disease. One of them gets treated by Subramani and gets cure d. As a result, the entire village takes refuge with the doctor Subramani to save them, who says that he has no me dicine for the disease, and takes people to the top of the mountain in search of medicinal herbs.
Once there, he shocks the people by saying that he doesn’t know what the medicinal herb is and that he didn’t he al the sick. Why did he say that? Did he save the sick? Isn’t it? That is the rest of the story of the film ‘Vellim alai’. Super Good Subramani, who has acted in character roles in many films, has played the role of country doctor Aga sthyar as the hero of the story. It is seen in all the scenes that Subramani, who has acted in his usual style without overacting in the name of showing difference and difference in acting as he is the hero of the story, has done wh at the director says.Debutant Veersubash, who is playing the lead role, is a perfect choice for the role and has do ne his job flawlessly.
Debutant Anju Krishna, who is playing the role of Subramani’s daughter, has lived the life of a hill village girl in te rms of diction, acting, body language and looks.Giriraj, Vijayakumar, Charles Pandian, Kaviraj, Palanichamy, who have played other roles, although they are not seen on screen, but they act naturally and stick in the mind.The ci nematographer Maniperumal has worked hard crossing many forest hills in the scenes. Gram has shown the nat ural and beautiful plot as a lush green forest with pristine houses.In NR Raghunandan’s music all the songs are lis tenable and all the lyrics are clearly understood. The background music also goes along with the story and adds strength to the film.Art director Mayapandian’s hand-paints make Vellimalai village unintelligible whether it is natural or man-made.
Cinematographer Satish Surya’s work is also exquisite. Om Vijay, who has written and directed the story of the fi lm in an attempt to convey to the people the wonder and necessity of traditional medicine, has emphatically rec orded the glory of spirituality over traditional medicine in many places. What will happen next with an unexpect ed turn of events after he has said his point in a nutshell? Director Om Vijay, who moves the story forward with e xpectations, the way he hired debut actors, the way he shot the scenes are all very natural and makes us enjoy th e film as well, making us travel to Vellimalai village. All in all, ‘Vellimalai’ will win the hearts of people.
