Movie Review :

There have been many stories of matern al love. But this film, which has come to Tamil via Malayalam, raises a question a bout motherhood. We have seen all thes e on screen, the struggle of a mother for a child and the struggle of two mothers f or a child. However, in this film, the strug gle faced by an adoptive mother for a ch ild she did not have, abandoned by her b iological mother(s..?), is different.Sebast ian Thomas has effectively directed the story written by Kaviprasad Gopinath u nder the production of Coffee Productio ns. At the beginning of the film, we are  i ntroduced to Meera Vasudev, who has t ried twice to have a child but failed and decides to make a third… final attempt.

At the beginning of the film, we are intro duced to Meera Vasudev, who has tried twice to have a child but failed and deci des to make a third… final attempt. Afte r that, an engineer arrives in a mountain village to construct a road, and the ward member of that area is helping him withi n a few days of his arrival, we are made t o understand that he did not come to lay the road… he came to lay another route.

We are also introduced to Devadarshini, who lives with her granddaughter in the same hill village. It is said that the child’s parents were swept away in the floods in Kerala a few years ago, and that only the granddaughter and grandmother ar e living alone. A man in the role of an en gineer comes along and becomes a guid e to their past lives. What is that… why is that different storyline.

Devadarshini, who has already mixed up many character roles here, plays the rol e of a serious grandmother. The struggle she takes on for the well-being of a child is emotional. Dilip Pothan, who debuted as an engineer and later transformed int to a policeman, has done a lot of justice t o his role. The way he has changed his ap pearance from a gentle look for the role of an engineer to a sharp look for the rol e of a policeman is a subtle technique.

Even the person playing the ward memb er and the visually impaired person have done well. That Six-year-old child with a special ability is so beautiful. It makes m e sad to think of all the problems she has in her life. From naming the child who ca nnot speak as Kuili to the scene where h er mother decides to divorce her when s he is still a baby, director Sebastian Tho mas has left his mark. The scene where t he mother leaves the green child in a lon ely house and goes is heartbreaking. Th ose who are tired of not getting good st ories should definitely support this film.
