20,000 Th Excavator, Strengthens R&D Centre in India
Chennai, March 21, 2025: Kobelco Cons truction Equipment India (KCEI), a subsi diary of Japan-based Kobelco Construct ion Machinery Co., has reached a signifi cant production milestone by rolling out its 20,000th excavator at its manufactur ing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. Thi s facility serves both domestic and inter national markets,reinforcing India’s role as a key production center for Kobelco .

This facility will focus on advanced engineering solutions, cust omization for varied market requiremen nts, and further strengthening India’s po stion as a key manufacturing and innova tion hub for Kobelco.
KCEI manufactures a wide range of exc avators in India, with an annual producti on capacity of 3,000 units. The company supplies excavators to domestic custom ers, exports to more than 16 countries a nd continues to maintain high-end leade rship with over 25% market share.
